must have ownership rights or be listed as cultivators of the land they are
cultivating.
B. Size of land holding: The scheme is

who have up to 2 hectares (5 acres) of cultivable land, while marginal farmers
have between 2 and 5 hectares (5-12.5 acres) of land.
C. Exclusion Categories: The scheme excludes certain categories of farmers, such as institutional land holders, farmer families with one or more members holding constitutional positions, and higher income groups.
Registration process:
A.Offline registration: Initially, the registration process for the scheme was conducted offline through local officials, such as revenue officials, and designated nodal agencies at the district and village levels. Farmers were required to visit these officers and fill the PM-Kisan registration form.
B. Online Registration: To simplify the process and make
it more accessible, the government launched an online registration facility.
Farmers can now register themselves through the official PM-Kisan portal
(https://pmkisan.gov.in).

the "Farmers Corner" section.
Select the option “New Farmer Registration”.
iii. Enter the required details including
Aadhaar number, name and mobile number.
iv. Click on the "Get Data"
button, which fetches information from the Aadhaar database.
v. Verify and confirm details including
land ownership and bank account information.
Aadhaar and Bank Account Aadhaar Relationship Aadhaar, a unique identification number, plays an important role in the enrollment process. Producers are required to provide their Aadhaar number for verification and authentication purposes. This ensures transparency and helps weed out indistinguishable or ineligible heirs. Bank Account Producers must have an active and functional bank account. Bank account details including account number and IFSC code are required during the enrollment process. Ensures that fiscal assistance directly reaches the heirs through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode. Verification and Blessing a.
